Obituary of Harry Scibetta Harry L. Scibetta, age 97 of West Park Street, died 6/12/12 at his residence following a brief illness. He was born 3/25/1915 in Silver Creek, NY to Salvatore and Mary (Grace) Scibetta and at a young age moved to Batavia. In his early 20's, Harry moved to Albion and had lived in this area ever since. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, BPO Elks, Lion's Club and the Knights of Columbus. Harry operated the former Geddy Oil Service Station, and the Esso Service Station which became Exxon…which was where he retired from. He also was the co-owner of the Helpee-Selfee Laundromat with his son, Jim. He liked to Bowl, Golf and travel in his spare time. Mr. Scibetta was predeceased by his wife Adeline, brothers and sisters: James, Michael, Samuel, Peter, Mary, Carrie, Josephine, Betty and grand daughter: Annette Babcock. He is survived by his son: James(Patricia)Scibetta of Albion, daughter: Marilyn(David)Ricci of Rochester, grandchildren: Matthew Ricci, James(Linda)Babcock, Allison Ricci, Nancy Eckerd, Stephen Babcock, Mark(Lisa)Babcock, Linda(Jeff)Klips as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Avenue-Albion, THURSDAY 4-8 p.m. Services
Family and friends are invited to attend Harry's Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Family Parish (St. Joseph's Church) FRIDAY at 10 a.m. Interment
Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
