Obituary of Hazel E. Lake (Albion) Hazel Carpenter Lake departed her earthly home on April 26, 2019. She was born in Medina NY, to Matilda and Ernest Carpenter. Hazel had celebrated her 100th birthday this last February 9th and enjoyed her special day with her family; some coming from across the country. She had the sweetest of souls and a void in our lives that will never be filled. She was an avid reader and could never have enough books stockpiled to read. Hazel also loved flowers and enjoyed watching and feeding the birds. In addition to her parents, Hazel was predeceased by her husband George of 65 years; daughter Peggy (Earl) Parker; sisters Florence Yates and Elva Johnson; her brother Herbert Carpenter; son-in-law Jack Conn; daughters-in-law Dorothy Lake and Susan Lake. She is survived by her children Phyllis Conn, Kenneth Lake, Ellen (Wayne) Kenyon, Douglas (Ruth) Lake; 16 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Per her wishes, there are no prior calling hours. Interment will be private and a celebration of her well lived life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. Albion.
