Helen V. Drake

Helen V. Drake, age 77, died December 14, 2022 in United Memorial Medical Center following a long illness.  She was born June 26, 1945 in St. Alban’s West Virginia to Marshall and Flora (McCune) Wooten and had lived in this area most of her life.

Helen was an avid gardener and enjoyed working in her flower gardens.  She also enjoyed watching TV but her greatest joy and most important thing in her life were her grandchildren.  Ms. Drake was predeceased by her son: Jonathon Lee Grove and daughter: Deborah Lynn Whittier and sister Joann Nash.

She is survived by her son: David (Michele) Wooten of PA, her brother: Clifford Wooten of OH, sisters: Phyllis Dent of AZ, Geneva Moore of Albion, Linda Wooten of Barre, 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home, 21 West Avenue-Albion, WEDNESDAY (12/21) from 12-1pm where her Funeral Service will be held at 1pm.  Interment will follow in Mt.
