Obituary of Helen A. Herman Brockport:Helen (Mom) passed away in her family's arms after a short and courageous battle against cancer on November 25. She gave it her all with grace and dignity. She will be dearly missed by her children, Kimberly, Mark ( Bonita), Teresa, 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and her brothers Don White and Delbert (Skip) Cody, and many dear friends who loved her. Predeceased by her cat Smokey, husband Girard, parents Maurice White and Rhoda Cody. Helen loved to help people and continued after her passing by donating her body. In lieu of calling hours and her aversion to cold weather, the family will hold a memorial/remembrance gathering in the spring, her favorite time of the year. She enjoyed her job at IEC for 20 years where she made numerous friends. During her retirement, she enjoyed doing puzzles, random garden planting, and solving others problems with listening or advice. Sometimes she gave the advice whether you wanted it or not. Mom tolerated her chemo treatments but was heartbroken when she lost her hair. She enjoyed her books and was looking forward to finishing the book that Gail was reading to her during her chemo appointments. Helen was noted for her apple pies and fudge, which will be greatly missed this year. Her favorite cause was Lollypop Farm where donations may be sent in her memory. Visitation
