Helen M. Norman

Obituary of Helen M. Norman Mrs. Norman was born October 15, 1919 in Albion, a daughter of Ernest and Emma (Chapman) Mayes. She had been a lifetime resident of this area and was a member of the Albion United Methodist Church. A graduate of the Albion Central High School Class of 1937, Mrs. Norman also graduated from the Genesee Hospital School of Nursing in Rochester. She also attended the University of Rochester for public health studies between 1958 and 1959. She worked as a Public Health Nurse for 20 years in the Orleans County Health Department, retiring in 1978. Previously she had worked as both a general duty nurse and as a private duty nurse in nursing homes and hospitals in Lockport, Medina and Albion.
