Helen M. Pieniaszek

Helen M. Pieniaszek, passed away peacefully December 5, 2021 in the Martin Linsin Hospice Residence.

She was predeceased by her husband Henry Pieniaszek in 1985 and her son Dr. Henry Pieniaszek Jr. in 2015.

Survivors include beloved daughter: Mary Jo (Doug) Syck of Albion, 4 loving grandchildren: Kareen (Scott) Honecker of MA, Kyle D. Syck of Albion, Jennifer Pieniaszek of Washington, DC and Jayme Pieniaszek of DE, 2 loving great grandchildren: Samantha Honecker and Calvin Honecker as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Pieniaszek was employed at the Department of Social Service before retiring in 1985.  During her retirement, she enjoyed reading her morning newspaper at a family restaurant where she greeted good friends and met new acquaintances.  She found great pleasure in the many trips made throughout the USA and Canada also, her trips to Europe.  Helen was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, dating back to the Roger Staubach era.  Helen was a member of Holy Family Parish where she served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years and was also an active volunteer of the St. Joseph’s Bereavement Committee.

There will be no prior calling hours.  Her interment will be held privately in Mt. Albion Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Supportive Care of Orleans, P.O. Box 489, Albion, NY, 14411 or a charity of your choice.

Helen’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. of Albion.
