Obituary of Henri Mae Pulley Henri Mae (nee Jones) Harris Pulley “Hank” She was 84 of Albion NY passed away on 11/13/2018 in Albion NY. She was born in Clewiston, Florida the daughter of the Late Maola Mae (nee Sloan) andHenry Jones in 3/16/1934. Her first job as Water Girl started by helping the family do farm work at the age of 5 years old, the job was bringing water to the thirsty provided you did not call her too often. The Entrepreneuriall spirit was alive and well, even as she was a child: Taking in wash for the local nurses and military personnel, by purchasing the family’s first “Ringer Washer” machine with the consent of her Maternal Grand Mother. She was even a rental manager keeping track and collecting rent for a local landlord as a kid until her Father put an end to that. She pursued the Nursing Program in High School. She completed School near Homestead, Florida and graduated 1950. Employment Opportunities: She worked as a Nurses Aide before changing jobs for a higher hourly wage as Assembly Line Worker at GTE Sylvania as Set Tester and obtained the elevated status of Union Stewardess. Self Employment Opportunities: She became a Licensed Cosmetologist and did Hair on the side as she worked a full-time job. She was accepted at the University of Buffalo, but didn’t go. Later she purchased property to become a landlord in her own right and the NEW business Owner of Henri’s Inn, Inc. (previously the Orleans Hotel). She will be greatly missed by all those that knew her. She is predeceased by Husbands: Charles Harris and Charles S. Pulley Sr; Siblings: Clarence (& Kressie) Jones, Collis Jones Sr. and Calvin Jones, In law: Carlton Barclift. Currently, to include Nephew: Todd Jones. She issurvived by her Daughter: Shirlon Harris (John Sample), Siblings: Betty Jones Barclift and Mercy Dee Jones Rackley and a Host of Nieces and Nephews, Other Relatives and Friends. Arrangements have been entrusted to Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Ave. Albion, NY 14411. A wake is planned for Friday, November 23, 2018 at the funeral homestarting at 4:00-8:00pm and Saturday, November 24, 2018 starting at 10:00-11:00 at the churchand the Funeral at Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church (139 Ingersoll Street, Albion).
