Obituary of Herbert Raskind (HOLLEY)
Herbert Raskind, age 76 of Sunset Drive, died 10/16/13 in Unity Hospital at Parkridge following a brief illness. He was born in 4/28/1937 in Rochester to Jack and Belle(Waltuk)Raskind and was a lifetime resident of this area. Herb was as former member of the Farmington Fire Department Fire Police, an avid Railroad enthusiast, and a big-time dog lover. Mr. Raskind was a devoted husband for 27 years to his wife Judith. He is also survived by his sons: Adam(Dawn)Moore of Holley, Travis(Denise)Moore of Ogdensburg, his daughter: Wendy(Kirby)Manning of TN, and his 6 grandchildren who he loved with all his heart: Zachary(Amanda), Leslie(Zack), Tyler(Jaelyn), Nathaniel, Mackenzie, and Nicholas. There are no prior calling hours. A private graveside service was held by the family in Hillside Cemetery. In honor of Mr. Raskind, those wishing may make a memorial donation to the SPCA or the Dialysis Unit of Unity Health Care System. Visitation
