Obituary of Homer J Bell Holley-
Homer J. Bell, 90, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Strong Memorial Hospital. He was born in Albion, NY the son of Thorpe and Irene Bell and has been a lifetime resident of this area. He was a US army Veteran who served during WWII, and was employed as the Superintendantt of Buildings and Grounds for Holley Central Schools. Homer was a lifetime member of the Holley VFW post 202 and American Legion Post #529 of Holley. He is survived by 7 children, Charlene (Jim) Whipple of Brockport, Laurence (Prescila) Bell of Clarkson, Sandie McPadden of Nebraska, Ann French of Henrietta, Robert Bell of Gates, Brian (Sue) Bell of Brighton, Homer John Bell III of Holley; Grandchildren, Tim and TJ Anderson, Shane Casey, Ryan, Ariel and Kiana French, Nicole and Meagan Bell, Larry Jr. and Carrie Bell, Laurie Williams; Great Grandchildren, William and Amanda Bell, Emilie and Evan Williams; sister, Virginia Blissett of Holley; Nieces and Nephews. He was predeceased by a Grandson, Jimmy Whipple; 2 brothers Richard and Thorpe Bell; sister Dorothy Anderson. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, December 13, 2013 from 5-8pm at the Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, 39 Geddes St., Holley, where services will be held on Saturday at 11am. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery with military honors. Memorials may be made to Visiting Nurse Hospice, 2180 Empire Blvd. Webster , NY 14580.
