Obituary of Irene O Braun Irene O. Braun of Middleport passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at the Medina Memorial Healthcare System.
Mrs. Braun was born in the Town of Shelby on April 22, 1915 daughter of the late Charles and Laura (Greene) Stielow and she has lived in Middleport since l941.
She and her husband Norman V. Braun were married November 1, 1932 in Lockport, NY.
Mrs. Braun was a homemaker who enjoyed her farm animals and spending winters in Florida with her husband.
She also enjoyed her family, her grandchildren, gardening and baking and she also liked to sew.
Mrs. Braun was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Medina.
She was predeceased by her husband Norman V. Braun in 2009 and a daughter-in-law Phyliss Braun.
She is survived by three children Helen (Paul) Petit of Florida, Norman (Joanne) Braun of Middleport and Janet (George) Donahue of Florida, 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren and a sister Alice Wehrung Schmidt of Florida.
Also surviving are several nieces and nephews including a special niece and nephew Liz and Joe Reisman of Middleport.
Friends may call Sunday from 1 PM to 4 PM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 Am at Trinity Lutheran Church in Medina with the Rev. Peter Lindemann officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church, Orchard Manor Nursing Home or Hospice of Orleans County would be appreciated by the Braun family.
