Irene G. Roth

Obituary of Irene G. Roth (Albion) Irene G. Roth age 96 died February 23, 2018 at the Martin Linsin Residence in Albion. She was born July 2, 1921 in Chicopee, MA, the last surviving of 5 children of polish immigrants John and Mary (Owsiak) Kosiba. Irene and her late husband Lester, of 70 years, married and then moved to Albion in 1944. Irene was a member of the Gaines Congregational Church, she was the Secretary/Treasurer for the Otter Creek Cemetery Association and had worked as the cook manager at the Albion Primary School for many years. As a homemaker, Irene enjoyed baking, canning, cooking and entertaining for her family and friends. She is survived by 3 daughters Marjorie Page of Albion, Christine Sartwell of Albion, Arlene Rafter of Rochester; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter as well asher extended family. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W. Ave. on Saturday March 3rd from 2:00pm-4:00pm where her Memorial Service will follow at 4:00pm. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Otter Creek Cemetery.
