(Albion) James A. Miller age 83 passed away peacefully at his home on January 22, 2025. He was born April 8, 1941 in Albion, a son of the late Albert and Cecile (Richards) Miller and had lived in this area for most of his life.
Jim served in the US Army. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church and in his younger years served as an alter boy. He enjoyed bowling and had bowled in a men’s league in Hilton and Albion. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and golfing, where he and his buddies would take trips to NC to golf. Jim loved bird watching, all the cats he owned and his golden retriever Dallas.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Annie Soule and brother Tom (Lorraine) Miller.
He is survived by his son David (Laura) Miller; grandchildren Elizabeth (Landon) Klopfenstein, Nathan and Carsten Miller; great-grandchildren Kash and Georgia; sister Jean Hobbs; special caring friends Shirley Smith and Richard Spencer as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There are no prior calling hours. His Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at Mt. Albion Cemetery at a date to be announced. Memorials may be made to P.A.W.S 3371 Gaines Basin Rd., Albion NY 14411 or Lollipop Farm, 99 Victor Rd., Fairport NY 14450. Arrangements have been entrusted to Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Albion.
