James H. Bliss

Obituary of James H. Bliss James H. Bliss age 82 went to Heaven on October 5, 2016. He was born November 1, 1933 in Scotia NY, a son of the late Hervey and Minnie Bliss. Jim grew up in Peterboro NY and had graduated from Morrisville High School. He had lived in Kent most of his life and was a member of the Morton Baptist Church. Jim was a former employee of S.U.N.Y. at Brockport retiring from there in 1991. He was predeceased by Mary (Sterle), his loving and devoted wife in 2009; his grandson Andrew and his sister Xiemena DeGroat. He is survived by his son Foster (Wendy) Bliss of Fredericksburg VA; his daughter Joanne (Stephen) Billings of Clifton Springs; grandchildren Alexander Bliss, Ashley (Madhu) Kuttuva; great-grandchild Minka Kuttuva. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 16650 State Rte. 31 Holley, Monday 4-7. His Graveside Service will be in E. Kent Cemetery on Tuesday at 11:00am followed by his Celebration of life at 12:00pm at the Morton Baptist Church, 1152 County Line Rd. Hamlin NY 14464. Memorials may be made to the Morton Baptist Church.
