James C. "Jimmy" Gilligan

Lockport: James C. “Uncle Jimmy” Gilligan, age 88, passed away May 11, 2022. He was born in Irvona, PA to the late Guy and Mayme (Killion) Gilligan.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Helen Marie “Honey” on February 23, 2015.

Jimmy is survived by his son, Scott (Anita) Gilligan, grandchildren, Christina Gilligan, Dylan Gilligan, great-grandsons, Damon and Cohen, all of Anaheim, CA, special nieces, Darcy (Jeff) Jacobs, Lori (Jim) Donner, great-uncle of Kathryn (Frankie Cabrera) Donner, Emily (Keith Robison) Donner, Allen Donner, nieces, Marcy (Joe) Weaver, Rita (Dan) Johns, Debbie (Gary) Ray, nephew, Steve (Gerry) Crist, several other great-nieces and nephews.

There are no prior calling hours. Private interment will be held in Hartland Central Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jimmy’s name may be made to Niagara Hospice 4675 Sunset Dr. Lockport, NY 14094 or Hess Road Wesleyan Church 2514 Hess Road, Appleton, NY 14008.

Jimmy’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, Gasport, NY.
