Obituary of James Maynard Hecht Albion: James Maynard Hecht, 63, died suddenly at home March 8, 2018. Jim was born July 21, 1954 in Rochester, a son of the late Maynard and Beverly (Lyness) Hecht. Jim served his country in the United States Army from 1976-1979. He enjoyed watching all sports and loved fishing. He was a big outdoors person who could never sit still, even after losing his leg. Nothing stopped him from doing what he loved. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; son, Jamie, special daughters, Erica (Marc) Shurtz, Heather (Jayson) Coughlin; his bundles of joy grandchildren, Brynn, Aiden, Hanna and Rian; siblings, Mike (Pat) Hecht, Debbie (John) Holtz, Kathleen (Rich) Langdon, Colleen Canniotto, Joe Hecht and Mary Hecht; special in-laws, Carol (Brad) Rouse, Judy London, Ron Tucker, Marc (Lisa) Tucker; mother-in-law, Peggy VanNostrand “Peggy Sue”; many wonderful nieces and nephews and also his loving cats, that were always by his side during hard times in his life.
