(Hartland) James “Jim” LaJoie, Sr. age 53 passed away December 18, 2024, at Buffalo General Hospital. He was born April 18, 1971, in Lockport, a son of Lois (Clark) LaJoie and the late Walter LaJoie Sr. and had lived in this area all of his life.
He was a member of the Faith Bible Baptist Church in Medina for over 26 years and then became a member of Olcott Bible Church. He was also a member of the Barker Fire Department as a teen and in recent years was a member of the Hartland Volunteer Fire Company. He worked as a sales manager for Heinrich Chevrolet in Lockport. Jim was known for his sense of humor. He enjoyed watching the dirt races at Ransomville Speedway, and camping at Lazy Lakes Campground. But most importantly, his family was everything and he loved spending time with them, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his mother Lois, he is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Karen; his children Victoria (Mark) Hollfelder, James LaJoie Jr., Glen LaJoie; grandchildren Mark Jr., Travis, Franklyn; brothers Walter V. LaJoie Jr., Richard Clark, Edward (Kimberly) LaJoie, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends at the Olcott Bible Church, 5601 W. Lake Rd., Olcott NY 14126 on Friday December 27th 4:00pm-7:00pm and Saturday 10:00am-11:00am where his Funeral Service will follow at 11:00am. Burial will be in Hartland Cemetery and after a luncheon will be held back at the church at 2:00pm. Memorials may be made to the Olcott Bible Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Sherrie Bream Funeral Home, Gasport.
