(Rochester) James F. Landon “Pellet” age 79 passed away peacefully September 22, 2022 with his niece and nephews by his side. Jim was born September 8, 1943 in Rochester, a son of the late Winfield and Hazel (Smith) Landon.
He served in the US Army. Jim worked as an electrician for Foehner Electric Company and then went out on his own working on referrals from family and friends. Jim will be remembered as a very fussy and meticulous man who loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed tennis, golf, ping pong, watching the New York Yankees and skiing. Jim loved to party and he and his friends would spend countless weekends, renting a house at Holiday Valley.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Gary (Sharon)Landon; nephew Steven Landon. He is survived by his nephews Mike (Sue) Landon, David Landon; niece Christine (Bryan) Poole; great-nephew Brennan Landon; great-niece Sarah Poole.
The family will receive friends to share fond memories and humorous stories at White Haven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Rd., Pittsford NY 14534, Wednesday September 28th 10:00am-12:00pm in the All Season’s Chapel. Burial with Military Honors will immediately follow. Memorials may be made to Camp Good Days and Special Times, PO Box 665, 1332 Pittsford Mendon Rd., Mendon NY 14506. Arrangements entrusted to Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home Albion.
