Obituary of James M McCarthy James "Jim" McCarthy (Albion/Barre) James "Jim" McCarthy, 74, beloved husband and father, died unexpectedly June 18, 2021. Predeceased by his parents Joseph J. and Mary A. McCarthy, and brother Joseph P., he is survived by Cheryl, his wife of over 52 years, and his children Laura, Heather (Doug Morgan), and Erin (Sonia DeCastro). He worked for 20 years at Eddy Printing/Remley and Co., before becoming self-employed as a property manager. He was best known for his great sense of humor, his willingness to help others, and his dedication to his family. A private ceremony was held graveside at Mt. Albion Cemetery. Thank you to everyone who returned the waves and/or beeped their horns as he walked around town. It truly made his day. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jim's name for local/regional Alzheimer's disease research and education, payable to The Forget-Me-Not Fund, and mailed to A.D.
