Obituary of James P. McGuire Went into rest on April 2, 2017 surrounded by his family. Son of the late Donald and Aileen McGuire. James was born on February 21, 1943 in Clarendon, NY. Beloved father of Merrie McGuire, Robin Viera, Carol Wegman (Rob), and Teresa Holland (Gary). Brother of Jack McGuire and Mark McGuire (Nancy) and the late Dan McGuire. Grandpa of eight and great-grandpa of fifteen. Jim retired from Kodak after thirty years of service. After retirement he worked at Lake Ontario Fruit for six years. He enjoyed bowling, walking, trips to the casino, and watching many sports, family outings, picnics, and camping. He held the high score average in his bowling league of 180-200.
The family will be present on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. to receive friends at the Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home (HOLLEY) 39 Geddes St., Holley NY 14470. Where a Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m., burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery. If desired memorial donations may be made to Wilmot Cancer Center.
