James Robert Walker

Obituary of James Robert Walker James "Jimmy" Robert Walker of Olcott, entered into rest on Friday, August 19, 2016. Born February 27, 1956 in Niagara Falls NY, Jim is the son of the late Robert and Hazel (Urtel) Walker. Jimmy attended the Sunshine School in Lockport and was one of the initial residents of the Developmental Center in West Seneca. Always in the lead, Jim later moved to various group homes where he participated in sheltered workshops, attended camp, and enjoyed being part of the community. Jim was currently attending the day program at Opportunities Unlimited on Niagara Falls Blvd while he resided in Amherst. Jimmy enjoyed spending time with his family, holidays, flying kites, and music. He touched the lives of many with his humor, generous spirit, and simple life. Surviving Jimmy is his sister Jayne (Douglas) Lloyd of Lockport and nephews: Barrett Lloyd and Parker Siddall. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his sister Jody Siddall and niece Paige Siddall. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-7 pm. Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 11 am from St. Peter's Lutheran Church at North Ridge, 4169 Church Street. Lockport, NY.
