Obituary of James L. Weaver Holley/Brockport: James “Jimmy” Weaver, age 51, passed away unexpectedly on June 28, 2018 at his home. He was born February 14, 1967 in Rochester. Jimmy was a well-respected Paramedic in the Rochester region for over 30 years, most recently for 15 years with Monroe Ambulance. During that time he saved countless lives. He spent his entire life volunteering and serving his community. Jimmy started out as an Explorer with the Hamlin Fire Department at the age of 14. He transferred to North Greece FD before joining Brockport FD where he rose through the ranks to become the Training Captain where he was instrumental in the building of the Brockport FD 9/11 Memorial Monument. Most recently, Jimmy served with the Holley FD in the rank of Lieutenant. Jimmy worked for over a decade as a dispatcher for Brockport Fire Department, Brockport Police Department, and most recently Monroe Ambulance. Jimmy always felt that God put him on Earth for a reason and one of those reasons was to help people. He was a proud, loving, devoted father and husband who was always supportive and encouraging of his wife and children. Jimmy loved spending time outdoors, practicing Karate and spending time with his Kyokushin family. He was a highly spiritual person who was strong in his faith and an active member of the Brockport Free Methodist Church. Every Sunday he would post on Facebook that he’d save a seat on his pew in the back with all the cool kids. Jimmy was predeceased by his mother Sharon Weaver. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 18 loving years together, Rachel Weaver; children, Angela, Riley, Jacob; his devoted Labrador, Charlie; special sister, Audrey Meston; nieces, Emily and Faith; as well as a large extended family. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 16650 State Route 31, Holley, NY 14470 on Sunday, July 1st from 3:00-7:00pm. Jimmy’s Funeral Service will be held at the Brockport Free Methodist Church 6787 Fourth Section Rd. Brockport, NY 14420on Monday, July 2nd at 11:00.
