Jane Vagg

Obituary of Jane Vagg (Albion) Jane W. Vagg age 79 died peacefully on April 1, 2015 at Rochester General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 29, 1936 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Chester and Mary (Smitzney) Wagner and had lived in this area all of her life. She was a member of Holy Family Parish and was active with the St. Joseph's Bereavement Committee. Jane had worked as a Nurses Aid at Arnold Gregory Memorial Hospital for many years and had been a member of their TWIG Association. She was a literacy volunteer and she loved animals especially watching the birds and deer from her window. Jane was a loving and doting grandmother who loved spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her husband David M. Sr. in 2001 and her brother James C. Wagner. She is survived by her son David (Mary Kay) Vagg Jr. of Albion; daughters Mary Jane (Steven) Klips of Albion, Beth Ann Navarra of Albion; grandchildren Daniel (Gina) Klips, Elissa Corrigan, David Klips, Jenna Waters, Byran Vagg, Susan (Christopher Conlon) Allen, Mark Allen Jr.; her cat Chuck; sisters Mary Ellen (Dave) Scharett of VA, Kathleen (Tom) Dunbar of TX; sister-in-law Ruth Wagner of Hilton; several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W. Ave. Albion Saturday April 4th 3:00pm-6:00pm. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday April 6th at 10:00am at Holy Family Parish. Private interment in Mt. Albion Cemetery. Memorials may be made to P.A.W.S or St. Jude Children's Research.
