Obituary of Janet L. Starr Janet L. Starr of Medina passed away Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Medina Memorial Healthcare System.
Mrs. Starr was born in the Town of Barre on April 19, 1939 daughter of Dorothy E. (Green) Orr of Medina and the late Nelson R. Allen.
Mrs. Starr, a homemaker, has lived in the Middleport-Medina area all of her life and she enjoyed her family, flower gardening and crafting in general. She was a member of the Shelby Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and the Senior Citizens of Medina.
She was predeceased by her husband Herbert Starr in l994 and by siblings Beatrice Hodgins, Shirley Riedel and David Allen.
In addition to her mother she is survived by a daughter Rosie (Gary) Ackerman of Middleport, two sons Randy (Bobby) Wilson of Barker and Ronald Wilson of Middleport, two grandchildren Nicole Kuhn and Christina Ackerman both of Lockport, two great granddaughters Hailli Ackerman and Olivia Kuhn.
Also surviving are three brothers and two sisters Bennett (Noreen) Allen of Canada, Evelyn Finch of Florida, Margaret (Kenneth) Kelley of Medina, William (Sharon) Allen of Lyndonville and Robert Allen of Medina; one special nephew Kevin Kelley of Medina and several nieces, nephews and cousins and one special friend Burt Andrews of Churchville.
There will be no prior visitation.
A Memorial Service will be held at a date to be announced.
Memorials to the or Hospice of Orleans County would be appreciated by the family.
