Jean Ahl

(Holley) Jean L. Ahl age 77 passed away on January 18, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 10, 1946 in Niagara Falls, a daughter of the late John and Thelma (Klage) Leenhouts and had lived in this area since 1968.

Jean enjoyed reading, bowling, watching the Buffalo Bills; but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Gary who passed away in 2014; brothers Russell and Roger Leenhouts.

Jean is survived by her daughter Debra (Russell) Walls, Jr. of Holley; son John (Amy) Ahl of Holley; grandchildren Jennifer (Ben Albert) Gurnsey of Greece, Bryan (DeAnna Horr) Ahl of LeRoy; great-grandchildren Dylan and Jaelee Gurnsey of Greece, Evan Ahl of LeRoy; brother Richard (Sandi) Leenhouts of FL as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, 16650 State Rte. 31 Holley, Saturday January 27th 11:00am-2:00pm where a brief service will follow at 2:00pm. A Private burial will be in Hillside Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Holley Rotary Club to benefit the youth program or P.A.W.S., 3371 Gaines Basin Rd., Albion NY 14411.
