Obituary of Jean E. Fitch Jean E. Fitch of Middleport passed away Friday, August 29, 2014 at Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport site. Mrs. Fitch was born in Lockport, NY on March 21, 1933 daughter of the late Wallace and Lydia (Behm) Moore. She was a homemaker and lived most of her life in Middleport. She and her husband Marshall G. Fitch were married June 17, 1950. Mrs. Fitch enjoyed her family, TV quiz shows, bird watching and her pet cat "Nick" She was predeceased by her siblings Frederick Moore, Bruce Moore, Charles Moore and Dolores Wills. She is survivied by her husband Marshall G. Fitch, two sons and one daughter Douglas (Roxanne) Fitch of Newfane, Marsha (Larry) Kurzawski and Craig (Mary) Fitch all of Middleport. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, two step granddaughters and three step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews Friends may call Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00PM and 5:00PM to 7:00PM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home 38 State St., Middleport. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Hartland Central Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to Niagara County SPCA, Lockport Soup Kitchen or the Disabled Veterans Association would be appreciated by the Fitch family.
