John E. Ames

Obituary of John E. Ames John E. Ames age 78 of Oak Orchard Rd. died suddenly on February 21, 2011 at his home. He was born March 15, 1932 in Coldwater, NY a son of the late Homer and Helen (White) Ames and had lived in this area since 1963. John was a member of Holy Family Parish, life member of the B.P.O.E. #1006 where he served as past Exalted Ruler and NYS Vice President. He had served in the US Navy and was a member of the Sheret Post #35 American Legion. John had worked for 34 years for the US Postal Service from where he retired. He was an avid golfer and pet lover with a special spot in his heart for patches his calico cat. John also enjoyed helping out his daughters at Homestead Wildflowers. He was a loving and loyal husband, father, grandpa and friend.
