Obituary of John J. Dussault John J. Dussault, age 89, of Gasport, said his last toot-a-loo on his way to his heavenly home, joining his wife Mary (Oesterle) Dussault, on Tuesday, November 8, 2011. Born October 28, 1922 in Lockport, he was the son of the late Ralph and Elizabeth (Nichols) Dussault. John married Mary l.. (Oesterle) May 28, 1949 in Lockport. Mary died October 18, 2004. Serving in the Army during WWII, John worked as a carpenter in the Philippians. Returning to Lockport after the war to work as a master carpenter, he built a number of homes in the Lockport area until joining the local carpenter union in Lockport and retiring in 1985. John enjoyed passing on his knowledge of carpentry to his children, grandchildren and many friends. After his retirement, he continued his lifelong love of raising chickens, adding cows and pigs to his expanding farm. John is survived by his children: Judy (the late Darryl) Schalck of Lockport, Joleen (the late Fred Jr.) Giertz of Lockport, Janine (Doug) Dunham of Gasport, Jon R. (Candy) Dussault of Lockport and Julie Hallifax of Gasport. Step father of Larry (Barb) Yingling of Green Bay, Wisconsin. Brother of the late Oliver “Pete” Dussault and Olive “Blanche” Hasley. Sixteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren also survive John. The will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at Royalton Mountain Ridge Cemetery, 4517 Royalton Center Road, Gasport, NY on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 11:00 am. Following the graveside service, everyone is invited to a remembrance gathering at the School House Wellness Center, 241 Garden Street and Vine, Lockport, NY. Arrangements entrusted to the Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home, Gasport, NY.
