John C. Estes Jr.

went to be with the Lord on January 31, 2024. He was born May 22, 1944, in the Town of Barton NY, a son of the late John C. Sr. and Ruth (Cole) Estes.

John was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Newfane. He served as a Trustee, Deacon and sang in the choir. He retired from Harrison Radiator where he worked for 31 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who had a passion for nature. John was a fun loving person, who enjoy making people laugh and smile and would do anything for anyone. Most importantly, John loved his family and doted on his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jean; his children Gerald “Jerry” Estes, James (Karen) Estes, Jodie (Mark) Reineke; grandchildren Rachelle (Bryan) Baker, Kimber (Tyler) Quota, Anthony (Amber) Nelson, Elizabeth Entwistle, Ashley Entwistle; great-grandchildren Elena, James, Kylie, Jayce, Roselyn, Zane, Cooper; sisters Lucille Estes, LouAnn (David) Seeloff. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son Jeffrey.

In lieu of a funeral service, and to honor John’s character, we ask those who wish to honor his memory, plant a tree or donate to the S.P.C.A in his name. A Celebration of Life Service will be held later at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were entrusted to the Sherrie Bream Funeral Home Gasport.
