Obituary of John Klopp (Albion) John H. Klopp age 79 died November 20, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born September 12, 1934 in Albion, a son of the late Herman and Bertha (Lange) Klopp and had lived in this area all of his life. John had served in the US Navy during the Korean War and was a member of the Sheret Post #35 American Legion and the VFW Strickland Post #4635 both of Albion. He was a member of the Northgate Free Methodist Church in Batavia. John had worked at T.J. Lipton's and after his retirement he worked at Eastman Kodak for 18 years. John then went to work for the Albion School District as a maintenance worker and from there he worked for the NYS Canal System as a canal walker; the job that he loved the most. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Joyce in 2010; brothers Harry, Fred, Carl, Francis, George; his sister Elizabeth Knight. He is survived by his sons John Randolph (Stephanie Johnson) Klopp of Albion, David Scott (Ginger) Klopp of Albion; 2 step-sons; 3 step-daughters; grandchildren Amber Buholtz Rogers, Leigha Klopp; step-grandchildren Evelyn, Sunny, Angel and Evan; great-grandson Elijah Buholtz; sister Charlotte Gaylord of Fancher; several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W. Ave. Albion Saturday November 23rd 11:00am-1:00pm where his Funeral Service will follow at 1:00pm. Burial with full Military Honors will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Veteran's Services, 14016 Rte. 31 W. Albion NY 14411 or Hospice of Orleans, PO Box 489, Albion NY 14411. Saturday November 23rd at the Albion Funeral Home 11:00am-1:00pm. Services

Mt. Albion Cemetery.
