Obituary of John A. Persia John A. Persia age 65 died unexpectedly June 22, 2019 at Medina Memorial Hospital. He was born November 3, 1953 in Brockport, a son of the late Julius and Hortense (Monacelli) Persia and had lived in this area all of his life. John worked at Kodak as a machinist retiring from there in 2016. For many years he coached Little League Baseball and Girls Softball. He enjoyed bowling and golfing but thegreatestenjoyment in his life was his family, especially being “papa” to his grandkids. In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his sister Donna; brother Gary; niece Amy Hughson Banks; father and mother-in-law Edward and Lucille Hughson. He is survived by his loving wife of 45years, June; beloved daughters Lisa (Chris) Barry and Michele (Allen Ainsworth) Persia both of Albion; grandchildren Zach, Aubrielle, Kolton, Nevada and Allen Jr.; brothers-in-law Chuck (Gwen) Hughson, Larry (Marlene) Hughson as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W. Ave. Albion Thursday 2-4 & 6-8. His Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 9:30am at Holy Family Parish.
