Obituary of Joseph K.B. Allen (Albion/West Point KY) Joseph Kent Blaine Allen age 26 died December 29, 2013. He was born August 7, 1987 at Andrews Air Force Base and had lived in this area most of his life before joining the Navy and just recently moving to West Point KY to be near his dad. Joe had served in the US Navy from 2005-2009. He was a member of the Sheret Post #35 American Legion in Albion and Holy Family Parish. He loved to read, science, politics, sports, and music; including Blue Grass. Joe loved having fun and being around his family; especially if it was hanging with his nieces and nephews. He was predecease by his sister Katherine Mae Allen in 1997. Joe is survived by his mother Carmela (Judy Richardson) Calabria-Allen of Waterport; father David (Melinda) Allen of Fort Knox KY; his sisters Patricia (Michael) McDonald of Medina, Theresa Allen and brother Samuel Allen both of Fort Knox KY; step-sisters Techelle Stephens and Nicole Stephens both of Albion; paternal grandmother Shirley (Ray Vitatoe) of Milford OH; nieces and nephews Mason, Gavin, Kayli, Logan, Chance, Adelynn as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W. Ave. Albion Friday 5-8 where prayers will be said Saturday at 9:30am followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Parish/St. Joseph's Church at 10:00am. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Veterans Outreach Center, 459 South Ave., Rochester NY 14620. Visitation
