Joseph Valentine

Obituary of Joseph Valentine Brockville- Joseph "Joe" Valentine, 80, passed away on October 8, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Rochester NY, a son of Nunziato and Claudina Valentine and has been a lifetime resident of the area. He was a US Air Force combat veteran having served during the Korean War, and worked in the Maintenance Dept. at Albion Correctional Facility for 30 years until his retirement. Joe was a member of the Holley and Albion VFW Posts. American Legion Sheret Post #35 and during his spare time enjoyed Scouting for antiques, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Rebecca "Becky"; daughters, Kristin (Jeremy) Jedrewski of Brockport, Kelley Valentine of Brockville; Grandchildren, Dane Paul and Quinn Arianna Jedrewski of Brockport; numerous friends and other family members. There will be no calling hours. A Memorial service at the Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, 12 Ingersoll St., Albion on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 11am with Military Honors. . A luncheon will be held immediately following the service at the Orleans Vets Club, 38 N. Platt St. Albion, NY. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made in his rememberence to Hospice of Orleans.
