Joyce E. Bensley

Obituary of Joyce E. Bensley (Albion) Joyce E. Bensley age 82 died May 30, 2019 at the NYS Veterans Home in Batavia. She was born April 25, 1937 in Holley a daughter of the late Lawrence and Ruth (Ricebrook) Atkinson and had lived in this area all of her life. Joyce was a member and past president of the Albion Sheret Post #35 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the Holley VFW Post #202 Ladies Auxiliary and the Holley Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She had worked at G.E. and Owens Illinois in Brockport and also was a bus driver for the Holley Central School District. She was predeceased by her 1st husband Ross Gaylord, 2nd husband James Pratt, her step-son Larry Pratt and her brother L. Charles Atkinson. She is survived by her husband George Bensley; sons Stephen (Kathleen Leonard) Gaylord of AZ, Scott (Janet Tanner) Gaylord of Carlton; step-children Gerald (Lynn)Bensley, Sandra Bensley, Tamara (Arnie) Allen, Victoria Pratt, Cheryl Pratt; grandchildren; Brieann, Lucian Allen and Daniel as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W. Ave. on Tuesday June 4th 10:00am-12:00pm where her Funeral Service will follow at 12:00pm. Burial will be in Mt.
