Obituary of Joyce E. Freck Joyce E. Freck of Medina passed away Monday, April 2, 2012 at the Medina Memorial Healthcare System.
Mrs. Freck was born in Middleport on February 22, 1938 daughter of the late Carl and Matie (Thiel) Jones.
Joyce had lived in the Gasport area all of her life. She and her husband Donald C. Freck were married April 28, 1962. She was employed at Chapman's Store, then the Riteway Meats in Gasport and then at C J Perry for several years. She then worked at the Z & M Company in Oakfield. Joyce enjoyed Nascar Racing, flower gardening and watching and feeding birds.
She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Gasport.
She is survived by her husband Donald C. Freck, one brother Lloyd Jones of Middleport and three nieces, Audrey Jones, Bonnie Jones and Candy Miller and several cousins.
There will be no prior visitation.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral service on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport, NY with the Rev. Rodney Klinzing officiating.
Burial will be in Hartland Central Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials to Zion Lutheran Church, Hospice of Orleans County or the charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
