Joyce E. Witt

(Albion) Joyce E. Witt age 75, passed away March 5, 2025 at Elderwood at Brockport. She was born April 10, 1949, in Albion, a daughter of the late Edward and Florence (Porter) VanOrden and had lived in this area all of her life.

Joyce was a member of the Albion First United Methodist Church. She liked to paint, crochet and enjoyed taking care of her yard and gardens.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son Thomas Allen Witt; brothers Douglas, Carl and Kevin VanOrden; sisters Marcia Buzzard, Carol Buzzard, Frances McIlmurray.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Albert; brothers Charles VanOrden, Phillip VanOrden, William VanOrden; sisters Helen Denton, as well as several nieces and nephews.

There are no prior calling hours. Her Graveside Service will be held at Sandy Creek Cemetery at a date and time to be announced. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1120 S Goodman St, Rochester, NY 14620. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Albion.
