Judith was born on July 7, 1942 at St. Jerome’s Hospital to the late Mary Margaret (Hibbard) and Milton Kenward. She was predeceased by her husband, A. Donald Goodrich of 36 years, by her brother David (Pat) Kenward, sisters Nancy Kenward and Elizabeth Hall, and her son Scott Lembke. She is survived by her children Heather (Robert) Robinson of North Carolina, Shawn Lembke and Shannon (Chad) Arlington and step son Timothy Goodrich. She is also survived by grandchildren Amanda (Lembke) Thomas, Nathan (Amy) Lembke, Nicholas Lembke, Danielle (Jeremy) Biddy, Thomas Lembke, Melissa Lembke, Jacob (Jocelyn) Robinson, Joshua Robinson, Hayden Arlington and Will Arlington. In addition surviving are several great grandchildren, Audrey Salter, Sophia Salter, Waylon Biddy, Nadia Robinson, Scarlet Robinson. She is also survived by her sister, Margaret Elmore, special niece Maggie Roberts, special nephews Chad Kenward and James Pritchard, and many other nieces and nephews. She was the beloved friend of Kathryn Barber, Audrey French, the late Diann Brownell and her friends at the Willows.

Judith graduated in 1959 from Medina High School and went on to attend University at Buffalo School of Nursing where she trained at the Diconess Hospital and graduated with her LPN. She went on to work at Medina Hospital on the medical and surgical floors. She also worked for some time for the late Dr. Arthur Mruczek, and finished her career at Orchard Manor Nursing Home under the leadership of Barbara Waters. Judith was passionate about patient care and a job well done, winning the Golden Apple Award while working at Orchard Manor for her professionalism, leadership and excellence in patient care.

While taking care of patients over the span of 40 years, she was proud to have raised her 4 children and could often be found chauffeuring them and their friends to various Medina sporting events, Mustang Marching Band and school activities over the years. She went on to be a loving and proud grandmother to several grandchildren and great grandchildren, where she could be found cheering them on at musical and sporting events of those living locally. Chances are if you knew her, she would often share her pride in her children’s and grandchildren’s accomplishments.

In her spare time over the years she enjoyed gardening, traveling to North Carolina to visit her eldest daughter and family, antiquing, garage saling and outings to the casino. She also enjoyed reading historical fiction from the WWii era, fishing with Don, playing Scrabble, painting and euchre. She happily hosted many family holiday dinners and was known for cooking more than enough food for all while saying, “If you go hungry, it’s your own fault.”

Judith was fortunate to live out her last 3 years at the Willows Adult Care Home in Medina, where she enjoyed making new friends and rekindling friendships from her youth. She enjoyed participating in various crafts, games, cheering on the Bills, monthly celebrations and always games of BINGO with Becky. She couldn’t say enough about the care provided by the Willows Care Team and often said, “If I was their supervisor, they would get top marks.”

A private celebration of her life will take place at the convenience of her family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Orleans County Office for the Aging, 14016 NY-31, Albion, NY 14411. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Bates, Wallace and Heath Funeral Home, Middleport.
