Obituary of Katherine F. Mixter Katherine F. Mixter age 101 went home to be with her Lord on March 6, 2013, at the Martin- Linsin Residence in Albion. She was born April 6, 1911 in Mt. Vernon, NY, a daughter of the late Charles and Syrena (Rogers) Frederic and had lived in this area for the past 17 years. Katherine was a member of the Gaines Carlton Community Church. She had been a volunteer at Helping Hands in Garden City, SC and also taught Sunday School for many years in SC. She was a devoted volunteer and loved helping others. She was predeceased by her husband John F. Mixter in 1986; her grandchildren Michael Marsh and Holly Philipp. She is survived by her daughters Kay Marsh of Albion and Jacquie (Ray) Flanigan of NC; her son Jack F. (Betty) Mixter of MI; 9 grandchildren, Cindy, Sandra, Stephen (Nichola), Alain (Jeri), Jon (Trisha), Todd (Billie), Scott (Kari), Debbie, John (Colleen); 18 great-grandchildren, Jalan, Keenan, Kyli, Jake, Abbey, Adam, Connor, Alex, Justin, MaCayla, Nathan, Katherine, Matthew, Christian, Gabriel, Priya, Naiya,Kendra (Jeremy) Stoekle and her sister Mildred Hurley of SC. There are no prior calling hours. Her Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans or to the Gaines Carlton Community Church. Visitation
