Obituary of Kathleen F. Akey Kendall: Kathleen “Kathy” Akey, age 72, passed away with her family by her side on September 25, 2017 at her home. She was born July 5, 1945 in Rochester to Samuel and Elizabeth (Fischer) Gardner. Kathy loved riding motorcycles with her husband Charles. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, traveling around the country, having visited every state except for Alaska and Hawaii. She loved camping at Wanakena in the Adirondacks every year with Charles. Kathy was very influential in the Old Crow Motorcycle Club and the fundraising they would do every year for ARC. Spending time with her family and grandkids is what she loved doing most. Kathy was predeceased by her father Samuel and sister, Doris Albanese. Kathy is survived by her husband of 53 years, Charles, daughters Charmaine (Dominic) Gregori, Yvette (Bernell) Moyer, mother, Elizabeth Gardner, brother, Samuel Gardner, five grandchildren, Dominic, Zach (Amanda), Maleena Gregori, Donald (Janelle), Blake Moyer, four great-grandchildren Austin, Dalton Gregori, Jaidyn, Jamisyn Moyer and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 16650 State Route 31, Holley, on Friday September 29th from 2:00-5:00pm where her funeral service will follow at 5:00pm.
