Kathleen Pyra

Obituary of Kathleen Pyra Born July 3, 1965 in North Tonawanda, Kathleen is the daughter of: Andrew Johnston and the late Margaret (Grobe) Johnston. Kathleen was a graduate of Niagara Wheatfield High School. She married Michael R. Pyra Sr., August 10, 1985 in Niagara Falls. She worked at Pizza Hut in Lockport as the General Manager. Kathleen enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, and traveling. Her greatest thrill was attending and watching her children and grandchildren play sports: swimming, football, cheerleading, baseball, softball, track and cross-country. Kathleen was a member of the Barker PTA, Den leader for Cub Scout pack 26, camp director for the Iroquois Trail Council Boy Scouts of America earning the district “Award of Merit” from the Boy Scouts for all of her work. Kathleen was also a Girl Scout Leader. Surviving is her husband, Michael Pyra and children: Michael (Amy) Pyra II, Jessica (Kyle) Flint and Stephanie Pyra. Daughter of: Andrew Johnston and the late Margaret Johnston. Sister of: Laura (Ray) Sarratori and Thomas (Margaret) Johnston. Grandmother of: Logan, Madyson and Lennon Flint and Grant and Laramie Pyra. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main Street, Gasport, on Monday from 2-4 and 6-9 pm and Tuesday from2-4 pm and 6-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday from Our Lady of the Lake R. C. Church 1726 Quaker Road, Barker, NY 14012 at 10 am with the Reverend Bernard Nowak officiating.
