Obituary of Keith Freeman Keith "Toby" Freeman formerly of Middleport passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Hospice by the Sea in Boca Raton, Florida. Mr. Freeman was born in Middleport, NY on May 4, 1923 to the late Bessie Freeman and is predeceased by two brothers, Allen and Neal and by a grandson Raymond Pachter. He and his wife Ruth M. Freeman were married November 3, 1951 at St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Wolcottsville, NY He is survived by his beloved wife Ruth M. Freeman; daughters Darlene (Richard) Pachter of Boca Raton, FL and Wendy (Steve Batz) of Rochester, NY; grandchildren Sarah (Peter) Freuderberger and Benjamin Pachter and great granddaugter Aria Rose. Mr. Freeman served in the US Army during WW II from 1943-1946. He held several offices in the Middleport Fire Department and was a member of the Exempts and also a member of Clute Phillips American Legion Post #938 and was a former mayor of Middleport. He was employed at Harrison Radiator Division of GMC in Lockport retiring in l985 after 38 years of service. He was a former member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Middleport and now at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Boca Raton, FL. Friends may call Thursday from 1PM to 4 PM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport where funeral services will follow at 4:00PM with the Rev. Bruce Donley officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Hartland Central Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the Freeman family.
