Kenneth R. “J.R.” Flickner, Jr. age 68, died December 11, 2024 at home unexpectedly. He was born August 30, 1956 in Lockport to Kenneth (Sr.) and Lois (Tincler) Flickner and had lived in this area all of his life.
Ken was a social worker for New Directions for over 15 years helping troubled youth find their way. He then worked part time for the CarQuest auto parts store in Medina delivering parts. Ken enjoyed fishing and loved his animals, especially his cats. Mr. Flickner was predeceased by his parents, a brother Daniel and a brother-in-law Jack Jones.
He is survived by his brother: John (Lori) Flickner of Middleport, and his sister: Cindy “Sara” Flickner-Jones of Gasport.
There will be no calling hours or service per his wishes. A private interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Niagara County SPCA, 2100 Lockport Rd., Niagara Falls , NY, 14304.
