Obituary of Kenneth Murek Albion: Kenneth O. Murek age 75, died peacefully March 19, 2014 surrounded by loved ones. Ken was born September 22, 1938 in Buffalo a son of the late Walter and Frances (Zyskowski) Murek. Ken served in the United States Navy and then was employed as an NYS Trooper from 1962-1982, retiring in 1982. Ken enjoyed fishing and was very active in the community.
He was predeceased by his wife, Diane in 2001. He is survived by his children, Mitch (Lori) Murek of Albion, Lorrie Murek-Delaney of Albion, Ken Murek of Buffalo; 5 grandchildren, Jessica Greene, Tony Sidari, Shelby Murek, Haley Murek, Erin Delaney; 2 great-grandchildren, Madisyn Taylor, Leon Sidari; brother, Walter Murek of Buffalo; sister, Sandra Carson of Albion; nieces, nephews, cousins.
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W. Avenue, Albion, Saturday from 3:00-6:00. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans, P.O.Box 489, Albion, NY 14411. Visitation
