Kevin R. Christy

 Kevin R. Christy, age 72, died unexpectedly November 16, 2022 in Medina Memorial Hospital.  He was born May 27, 1950 in Albion to Robert and Sophie (Carr) Christy and was a life-long resident of this area.

 Kevin was a US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, and served as the Commander for the Sheret Post #35 American Legion as well as belonging to the Albion VFW.  As a 1968 graduate of Albion Central Schools, he became an Electrical Engineer with Harris Corp. in Rochester.  He loved working on his classic cars, was a big sports fan, enjoyed cooking and was an avid NY Yankees and San Francisco Giant fan.  Above all, Kevin was a very giving person with a heart of gold.

 He is survived by his significant other of over 30 years, Linda DeCarlo of Albion, his sister: Karen Donaldson of NH, nieces: Lori (Brian) Todd, Christie (Todd) Bergeron, a nephew: John Donaldson as well as several great nieces and great nephews.

 There will be no calling hours.  Kevin’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 27th at 11:00am at St. Joseph's Church, W. Park St. Albion, NY 14411 and Interment in WNY National Cemetery will be held immediately following at 1:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital,  262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 or the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
