L. Michael Basinait, age 61 formerly of Riches Corners Road, died February 20, 2010 in The Villages of Orleans. He was born March 18, 1948 in Batavia to Louis Charles and Mary(Bokman)Basinait and had lived in this area all of his life. Mr. Basinait was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph's Church, a member and Past Exalted Ruler of the Albion Lodge #1006 B.P.O. Elks, a life member of the Albion Fire Department, and a past member of the St. Mary's Athletic Club and the Strickland Post VFW. Mike was the Deputy Orleans County Highway Superintendent for many years and retired in 2003.
