Laurie Lee Allen

December 31, 1969 — October 19, 2016

Obituary of Laurie Lee Allen Laurie (Loraine) Allen of Kendall passed away fearlessly and gracefully on October 19th 2016. She was the devoted mother of Michael Allen, Benjamin (Elizabeth) Allen, Patrick (Catherine) Allen, Tiffany Allen and loving grandmother of Alicia, Emma, James, Ava and Samuel. She was predeceased by her mother Carol (John) Albrecht and father Guy Coffee. She will be greatly missed by her siblings and their families Karen (Dan) Eichas, Keith (Patty) Coffee, Dawn (Charles) Voorhees, Sandy (Dan) Schicker, Jenny (Jim) Perry. Laurie especially enjoyed spending time with her many friends that touched her life, each in their own way. Laurie believed in “scattering kindness” wherever she went. She volunteered at Lakeside Hospital for many years prior to working in the nursing department at the College at Brockport. Laurie made a huge impact on the nursing students and faculty and will be greatly missed. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, spending time outdoors, spoiling every child in her life, and especially getting together with family and friends. The family would like to express our appreciation for the loving care that Laurie received while at Highland Hospital. A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday October 23rd at 10 am at Hamlin Beach State Park (Area 4 pavilion #5). Anyone wishing to donate in her memory can contribute to The Laurie Allen Spirit of Giving Award, a fund created in her honor by the nursing faculty at the College at Brockport (send to: Brockport Foundation, The College at Brockport, 350 New Campus Drive, Brockport 14420).
