LaVerne L. Farewell

Middleport:  LaVerne L. Farewell, 81, passed away unexpectedly October 1, 2022.  LaVerne was born June 21, 1941, in Batavia, NY the son of the late Stillmon and Betty (Trow) Farewell. LaVerne was a member of Hartland Bible Church and a former employee of Niagara Foods.  LaVerne was a 40-year member of the Middleport Volunteer Fire Dept.

LaVerne is survived by his loving wife of 19 years Elizabeth; 2 stepsons, Timothy Roath and Douglas Roath; siblings, Elizabeth (late Steve) Gerety, Anna (late Tom) Lindhiemer, Nina (Dave) Mundy, Barb (lateArnold) Kelley; brothers and sisters-in-law, Brenda (Donald) Mahnke, Emmett Wittkopp, David (Michelle) Wittkopp, the late Warren Wittkopp and Icela Wittkopp; nieces, Tammy, Kim, Brenda and Becky.

A memorial service will be announced on a later date.  Memorials may be made to the Middleport Volunteer Fire Dept. or the American Cancer Society.

LaVerne’s arrangements are entrusted to Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St. Middleport.
