Obituary of Laverne Miller Laverne A. "Vern" Miller age 81 passed into eternity on October 14, 2014. He was born August 24, 1933 in Carlton, a son of the late Bernard and Ruth (Seeley) Miller and had lived in this area most of his life. Vern had served in the US Air Force during the Cold War Era from 1953-1957. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Albion where he was very active. Vern had worked for Montgomery Wards for 19 years prior to starting his own business; Vern's Repair Service. He was a core believer in our Lord Jesus. A long life, well lived. He left an awesome legacy of faith. He was a devoted husband, dad, grandpa and friend. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister Hazel and his brothers Harold and Ralph. He is survived by his loving wife Lois of 60 years; daughters Bernadine (Robert) Doan of Palmyra, Donna (Samuel) Cherry of GA, Melody (Mark) Pauly of Rochester, Teresa (Donald) Smith of Newark NY; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren with 1 on the way; sister Bernadine Miller of AZ; brothers Arnold Miller of AZ, Wilfred (Shirley B.) Miller of Rochester; many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church of Albion, Park and Liberty St. Albion NY 14411 on Friday 3:00pm-5:00pm where his Funeral Service will follow at 5:00pm. Burial with Full Military Honors will be Saturday at 11:00am at Mt. Albion Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Albion or to the charity of your choice. Visitation
Friday at the Albion First Baptist Church from 3-5. Services
At church following his calling hours at 5:00pm. Interment
Mt. Albion Saturday at 11:00am with Full Military Honors.
