Obituary of Lee C. Mayback (ALBION)
Lee C. Mayback, age 86 of Eagle Harbor-Knowlesville Road, died 10/30/2016 in the Buffalo VA Medical Center. He was born 6/13/1930 in Buffalo and had been a lifetime resident of this area. Mr. Mayback was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War, and was a tractor-trailer driver for many years. Lee was a member of the Teamster’s, a lifetime member of the NRA, enjoyed building and flying model airplanes as well as fly his own aircraft. Lee also enjoyed boating, horses, driving his golf cart, and especially fishing. Mr. Mayback was predeceased by his parents: Wilbur Morbach and Ida Duringer, his stepfather: James Bair, his brother: Gordon Mayback, sisters: Lorraine Ashbery, Joan Cook, Marilyn Zicari, Shirley Eddy and his beloved wife, Nadine. He is survived by his daughters: Sandra(David)DeBoard of Albion, Peggy(Jeffrey Sr.,)Stear of Knowlesville, Melissa Mayback of Albion, Jean(Mark)Petronio of Albion, 5 grandchildren: David Jr., Ashley, Jeffrey Jr., Kimberly, Cassandra as well as 3 great grandchildren: Amiley, Isla, and Lydia and his faithful K-9 “Patty”. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Avenue-Albion, WEDNESDAY 2-4, 7-9 where his Funeral Service will be held THURSDAY at 11am. Interment will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Buffalo VA Medical Center, 3495 Bailey Ave., Buffalo, NY, 14215.
