Obituary of Leona L. Syck Albion, NY: Leona L. Syck, age 90, passed away on December 14, 2016. She was born on December 17, 1925, in Pikeville, KY, a daughter of the late Verlin and Nellie (Gilliam) Lee. Leona loved to cook, watch birds and garden. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Clinton, brothers; Bev and Zack Lee, sister; Geneva Tibbs, daughter; Eileen Syck and son; Randolph Syck. Leona is survived by her son Douglas (Mary Jo) Syck of Albion, grandchildren; Tiffany Syck, Steven Syck, Kareen (Scott) Honecker, Kyle Syck, great-grandchildren; Samantha and Calvin Honecker, sisters; Doll, and Jessie, sister-in-law; Ruby, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. There are no prior calling hours. Her Funeral service will be held at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Ave. Albion on Monday December 19th at 10:00am. Interment will be held in Garland Cemetery in Clarkson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Orleans, PO Box 489 Albion, NY 14411.
