Lizzie Lee Smith

Lizzie Lee Smith was born to the late TC and Sallie Kate Epps on October 4, 1941. She was raised in Monticello, GA, and was married to the late Freddie Smith. They had one daughter, Doris Christine Smith. Lizzie Lee moved to Albion in 1962.

Lizzie worked multiple jobs in the food and manufacturing industries over the years, including at Lipton’s, Fisher Price and Comstock Foods. She loved her family fiercely, and her grandsons and great grandsons brought much joy to her life.

Lizzie is predeceased by her parents, TC and Sallie Kate Epps, her daughter, Doris Smith, life partner Ben Walford, her brothers, Eugene Ivy Lewis, Eddie (Gloria) and Willie C, and also one sister, Eva Kate.

She leaves to mourn her passing her brother, TC Epps, Jr. (Martha), of Bramburg, SC, 3 grandsons, Carl Ross of Buffalo, NY, and Christopher Smith and Chaz Ross, both of Rochester, NY. In addition, she leaves 2 great grandsons, Benjamin Ross and Caiden Smith, and a host of nieces and nephews.
We will miss her wry sense of humor, her laughter and her crazy stories.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Ave. Albion, NY 14411 on Thursday, November 18th at 10:00am.
